Give Zakat

Your Zakat, used with Amanah

Many of our students come from families who are eligible recipients of Zakat. Your Zakat pays for their education so that their parents do not have to choose between food and school.

  • Zakat is received in a dedicated Zakat-mode bank account
  • Used only for eligible (mustahiq) students and families
  • Kept separate from general donations and Sadqah

Zakat FAQs

Common questions

Can Zakat be used for education?

Yes. Zakat may be given to eligible poor and needy people (fuqara and masakeen). Paying for the education of a child from an eligible family is a well-established use of Zakat. We use Zakat funds only for students and families who qualify.

How is Zakat kept separate?

Zakat is received in our HBL account operated in Zakat mode and recorded separately from general donations and Sadqah.

What is Nisab?

Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth a Muslim must hold for one lunar year before Zakat becomes due. It is equal to the value of 52.5 tolas (612.36 g) of silver or 7.5 tolas (87.48 g) of gold. Check the current market rate when calculating.

Can I give Zakat from overseas?

Yes. You can transfer directly to our HBL IBAN from any international bank. Please message us on WhatsApp after transferring so we can confirm receipt.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. Share your name and transfer details using the donation form or on WhatsApp and we will confirm your donation.
